HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and/or commercial clients. The technician must have strong troubleshooting skills, be customer-service oriented, and ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and industry standards. 

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, consult, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems, and provide replacement options.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, filter replacements, and system tune-ups, when needed.
• Ensure all work meets safety and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records and document repairs and installations.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients about system performance, issues, and solutions.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned jobs efficiently.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical school or HVAC certification preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• EPA certification (Preferred), Journeyman's license (preferred)
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigerants.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Work Environment:

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
